Born in 1927, this veteran artist
survived a childhood encounter with polio to become a principle figure in
Chicago’s postwar “Monster Roster,” a school of figurative Expressionists that
also included such noted figures as Leon Golub and Nancy Spero. This show
features some of Di Meo’s works in assemblage.
