In his latest figurative/abstract canvases, the veteran artist eschews his usual iconography (helicopters, ferris wheels) for what he calls "pre-historic guttural expression," a sort of free associative process that leads here to some pretty weird shit. Painting titles like Zero Sum Yoga and Metaphysical Salami pretty much say it all.
