“Pa.” is a sensitive
animated short movie created by Kapitolina Tcvetkova-Plotnikova that portrays
the story of "homo scrutante". The key idea is that humans are always
searching for their purpose.
The nature
of all other creatures is defined and restricted within laws which We have laid
down; you, by contrast, impeded by no such restrictions, may, by your own free
will, to whose custody We have assigned you, trace for yourself the lineaments
of your own nature.
The film is
dominated by feelings of social isolation and identity confusion. Soon they
will be replaced by the sense of the duty and the willingness of the hero to
change his life.
