Phyllida Barlow, “tilt” at Hauser & Wirth New York

Until Saturday December 22 2018
After emerging in 1960s Britain, this veteran artist spent a good part of her career as a professor at Slade School of Fine Art, nurturing talents like Turner Prize Rachel Whiteread. But in recent years, her abstract sculptures—noted for their eccentric forms and found-material aesthetics—have attracted art-world attention in their own right. Her latest offerings feature pieces sharing the eponymous list of the show title, ranging in scale from life-size to small.
